We pride ourselves on our warm, friendly welcome and the excellent standard of care and treatment from our highly experienced dental team.
Having qualified from Newcastle University in 1995, I spent a year working in Cumbria before moving back to the North West.
I have worked in several practices and joined the practice in Heald Green in 2014. I enjoy all aspects of general dentistry, priding myself in carrying out treatments to the highest standards. I believe prevention is better than cure and feel helping patients to maintain good oral hygiene is an important part of their routine check-ups. Seeing patients regularly over the years helps to build a good rapport, allowing them to have trust & confidence in me.
I like to keep up to date with Continued Professional Development and have recently completely a course on aesthetic restorations.
Outside work I enjoy going to the gym, spending time with my family & walking my beloved Labrador.
Before joining the practice in November 2019, I have had over 20 years of experience working for the public sector as a social worker and in primary education. And 22 years as a mum.
It’s very important to me that the patient experience at Finney Lane Dental Care is a positive one, from the first telephone contact through to the completion of all treatments. I am here to support the dental team and offer excellent customer care to all of our patients.
In my free time, I enjoy long walks with my family, going to the theatre and museums, baking and cuddles with my cat Millie (on her terms of course!) I have also acquired two new pastimes during lockdown, yoga and running, which are definitely worth the challenge!
Hello. I’m Alex the Dental Therapist here at Finney Lane Dental.
I have been working within dentistry for the last 10 years and furthered my qualifications to Dental Hygiene and Therapy in 2017 at Newcastle University.
I am passionate about preventative dentistry and enjoy teaching my patients how best to keep their mouths healthy through tailored oral hygiene advice and diet advice.
Nothing is more rewarding to me than making positive changes for my patients and seeing healthier and happier smiles!
I understand that coming to the dentists is often a stressful experience for some and nothing it too much trouble to me to make sure you are as comfortable and relaxed as possible.
Outside of work I enjoy spending time with my family and friends. I also have a little kitten called Kenny whom I adore!

I have always found all aspects of dentistry interesting, learning new things every day. As well as helping in the surgery, I have been involved in developing new practice policies & procedures.
Outside of work, I enjoy spending time with family, friends and my new puppy Buddy. I also love playing video games and taking Buddy on new adventures around the countryside!
