In the New Year, we are starting to offer routine check-ups for adults and some of you may have already booked in. Unfortunately, as a scale and polish is aerosol generating, we are unable to offer this treatment (if needed) at a check-up appointment whilst Covid restrictions are in place. In view of this, if you wish to postpone your check up, please let us know.
Our hygiene therapist, Alex, is available on Mondays to offer a half an hour appointment for oral hygiene advice and a hand scale and clean for £49. Please call reception if you wish to make an appointment.
And finally, may we take this opportunity to wish you and your families a very happy Christmas and a happy and healthy New Year. Thank you for your patience and support in what has been a challenging year for all of us.
Best wishes,
Finney Lane Dental Care Team
We would like to thank you for your ongoing patience during these challenging times and update you on recent developments.
In light of the National lockdown starting on the 5th November, we would like to reassure you that we are still open for dental and hygiene appointments.
We are now starting to see patients for routine check-ups to check the health of your mouth, teeth and gums, but are still unable to offer a 'quick' scale and polish as it is classed as an aerosol generating procedure.
As part of our dental team, Alex our hygienest, can offer a longer appointment to clean your teeth and gums and discuss ways of maintaining good oral health. Call the practice if you would like to make an appointment with her.
We are proud of our continued high standards of cleanliness at the practice, to keep staff and patients safe. During this crisis we have added further measures to our cross infection protocols.
Here are some changes to the patient journey:
-To make your visit as contactless as possible, we can use your email address to send your forms through the patient portal for completion at home.
-Please arrive at the time of your appointment and not before. Stay in the car in the practice car park and call us when you arrive. We have spaced appointments so there should be no waiting time.
-A member of staff will then call you in when we are ready for you (if you do not have a car, ring the bell and wait outside the practice for someone to call you in)
-Please attend your appointment alone where possible, under 16s attend with one parent only.
-Hand gel will be provided for your use on entering and leaving the practice
-We are using contactless card payments only
Thank you for your patience and understanding.
